Amarc Resources Ltd. (TSXV:AHR) is excited to report the assay results from the TWINS Discovery, situated about 17 km southeast of the AuRORA Deposit. TWINS is the latest addition to the emerging copper-gold (Cu-Au) porphyry systems in the JOY District, following the AuRORA and CANYON discoveries, as well as the historical PINE and Brenda deposits.
Dr. Diane Nicolson, President and CEO, stated, "The extensive TWINS sulphide system forms the largest porphyry lithocap in the JOY District, exceeding that of the AuRORA Deposit. Lithocaps are crucial as they can conceal significant Cu-Au targets beneath them. Comprehensive airborne and ground exploration surveys are being utilized to penetrate these lithocaps and guide our drilling efforts toward new discoveries."
Drilling in the JOY District during 2024 and 2025 comprised 75 drill holes, totaling 32,264 meters. Notably, 44 holes (17,586 m) were drilled at AuRORA, while 31 holes (14,678 m) were completed across the District. The 2025 results included the final assay data from 10 holes (5,208 m) drilled throughout the JOY District.
The TWINS Discovery is located along the 10 km long PINE Porphyry Trend, which encompasses both the PINE Deposit and the CANYON Discovery. The TWINS porphyry target is characterized by an 8.5 km² Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical anomaly, indicating significant potential for the discovery of another Cu-Au deposit.
In 2021, the first drill hole into the TWINS Target intercepted 42 meters at 0.19 g/t Au and 0.11% Cu, successfully identifying porphyry-type mineralization. Subsequent drill holes have returned encouraging results, highlighting the potential for substantial Cu-Au mineralization systems.
Amarc’s exploration initiatives are guided by a skilled team of geologists with extensive expertise in porphyry deposits. The company is working closely with local stakeholders to ensure responsible exploration and development, contributing to sustainable community growth.
