American Eagle Gold Corp. (AE) has announced new drill results from its wholly owned NAK Project in British Columbia, marking a significant advancement in the South Zone's development. These results, following the Company's previous announcement on February 25, 2026, further highlight the continuous mineralization over a 1.7 km east-west trend, with an additional extension of mineralization by 500 m south of the Babine porphyry stock.
Hole NAK25-80 showcased a remarkable interval of 618 m averaging 0.77% copper equivalent (CuEq) from surface, confirming the continuity of high-grade mineralization within the South Zone. This finding strengthens the case for a large, coherent mineralized body that extends from surface to significant depths, supporting previous drilling results such as NAK25-78, which reported 802 m of 0.71% CuEq from surface.
Drilling to the east, including holes NAK25-73, NAK25-75, and NAK25-79, suggests a connected mineralized corridor along the southern margin of the Babine porphyry stock, which can now be traced for approximately 750 m eastward from the South Zone/Main Zone area, and 500 m to the south. This expansion significantly increases the mineralized footprint of the South Zone, leaving the corridor open for further exploration.
The recent breakthrough highlighted by NAK25-70’s impressive 901 m of 0.43% CuEq from surface, combined with the latest South Zone results, illustrates a clear growth pathway for NAK: to advance the higher-grade South Zone as the near-term focus while systematically expanding the broader mineralized system.
NAK25-80 was drilled from the western boundary of the historically significant Stockwork Zone, which was expanded by American Eagle between 2022 and 2025. The drill hole began in Babine biotite feldspar porphyry stock, yielding strong gold and copper values from surface (101 m of 0.68 g/t Au, 0.14% Cu). Below 142 m, the hole intersected increasingly copper-rich mineralization, with localized zones featuring chalcopyrite and bornite, along with quartz-anhydrite veins hosting aggregates of bornite and molybdenite.
The additional holes reported, NAK25-73, -75, and -79, successfully connect the broader, low-to-moderate grade mineralization surrounding the high-grade South Zone to near-surface mineralization previously found in drill hole NAK23-09. Notably, NAK25-73, which was drilled from the same pad as NAK23-09, intersected 1,032 m grading 0.25% CuEq from surface, primarily within stratified rocks adjacent to the Babine porphyry stock. NAK25-79, collared 320 meters southeast of NAK25-73, extended mineralization over 500 meters to the south.
American Eagle Gold follows a strict sampling methodology and QA/QC protocol, with drill core samples sent to ALS Geochemistry in Langley, British Columbia for analysis. The assays include gold, silver, copper, molybdenum, and a suite of other major and trace elements, ensuring high accuracy and reliability in the results.
The NAK Project is located within the Babine copper-gold porphyry district and benefits from excellent infrastructure, being close to key towns and major transportation routes. Historical work has indicated a large near-surface copper-gold system, and recent drilling by American Eagle has significantly enhanced the understanding of the mineral potential at NAK.
