Nevada Canyon Gold Corp. (OTCQX: NGLD) is excited to share the final drill results from its 2025 reverse circulation ("RC") drill program on the Lapon Canyon Gold Project. These results, reported by Walker River Resources Corp. (TSXV: WRR), indicate a significant gold intercept of 3.79 g/t Au over 85.34 m in hole LC-25-107. This finding enhances the continuity and thickness of mineralization in monzonite, bolstering the prospects for substantial mineral resources at Lapon Canyon.
The completion of the 2025 drill program has confirmed and extended gold mineralization to the south and east of the Hotspot Zone. Notably, it has unveiled the existence of intrusive-related gold mineralization, which significantly elevates the project’s potential by revealing deeper seated rock units for further gold emplacement. The identification of monzonite as the host for the encountered gold mineralization suggests the possible presence of monzonite porphyry, a rock type commonly associated with larger-scale gold deposits, especially in Nevada.
These results may also signify gold mineralization within feeder structures, including higher-grade zones like those found in drill hole LC-25-170. To improve the understanding of these zones, geophysical surveys will be employed to identify future drill targets in the deeper-seated intrusive bodies, with work expected to commence before midyear.
In addition to preparing a mineral resource estimate, exploration efforts stemming from the 2025 program's success will continue throughout 2026, further advancing resource development.
Lisa Doddridge, President and Director of Nevada Canyon, commented, "The 2025 exploration program at Lapon Canyon was fully funded by Nevada Canyon as we continue to earn our 50% of the project over the next two years. The results continue to demonstrate the significant value potential of the project. In 2026, we will deliver the first NI 43-101 compliant resource to solidify the value we are creating through the drill bit while advancing the Project."
Located within the prolific Walker Lane gold trend in Nevada, Lapon Canyon is approximately 40 miles southeast of Yerington, NV. Nevada Canyon has a $5M Exploration Earn-in Agreement for 50% of the Project and holds a 3% Net Smelter Royalty ("NSR") on the Project.
All significant drill results can be found in Table 1:
- Sampled width is presented. True width is estimated to be between 60 and 90 percent of sampled lengths.
Drill holes LC-25-167, LC-25-172, and LC-25-173 returned no significant results.
For a detailed view of the drilling results, you can refer to Figure 1, which illustrates the Central and Hotspot zones with historic and 2025 drilling results.
The sampling methodology was conducted under the supervision of the Company's project geologists, ensuring a monitored chain of custody from the drill to the sample preparation facility. A blank or certified reference material was inserted approximately every tenth sample. The Lapon Canyon samples were processed at American Assays Laboratories' certified facilities in Sparks, NV.
