Rubicon Organics Inc. (TSXV: ROMJ) is proud to announce the successful completion of its inaugural cannabis harvest from the newly established Cascadia facility in Hope, British Columbia. This momentous achievement signifies a major operational milestone for the company.
CEO Margaret Brodie remarked, “The first harvest at Cascadia demonstrates our consistent operational execution and marks a significant step forward. With the facility now fully planted, we’ve boosted Rubicon’s premium production capacity by 40%, aligning us to meet the growing demand for our premium cannabis products in both Canadian and international medical markets.”
Since acquiring the Cascadia facility in June 2025, Rubicon Organics has made targeted capital investments to prepare the site for commercial production, including securing necessary licenses and onboarding over 30 new operational team members. The capital expenditures at Cascadia encompassed modifications to the facility layout and the installation of advanced grow tables, both aimed at enhancing efficiency and increasing annual production capacity.
Management anticipates that as crop performance data is collected and selections from the company's world-class genetics library are optimized, there is potential to further increase production capacity over time. The initial harvests from Cascadia are projected to be monetized in Q2, with production quality expected to reach flagship brand standards by mid-2026.
To commemorate this significant event, Rubicon will hold a grand opening ceremony on-site at Cascadia today, February 19th, uniting employees and industry partners who supported the project throughout its phases from acquisition to commissioning.
The Cascadia facility encompasses 47,500 square feet of state-of-the-art indoor cultivation space, replete with advanced technology that underpins Rubicon’s strategy to enhance its premium product offerings. The company currently estimates that the annual production capacity at the Hope facility could reach up to 4,500 kilograms.
As the leader in certified organic and premium cannabis in Canada, Rubicon Organics operates with a vertically integrated model and boasts a robust national distribution network. The company is scaling a portfolio of trusted, high-performing brands, including Simply Bare™ Organics, 1964 Supply Co.™, Wildflower™, and Homestead Cannabis Supply™.
Rubicon’s production is anchored by its Pacifica facility in Delta, BC, and is now further enhanced by the Cascadia acquisition, significantly boosting production capacity and facilitating future growth in both domestic and export markets. With proprietary genetics, award-winning products, and certifications for international distribution, Rubicon is well-positioned in the premium cannabis segment.
