Faraday Future Begins Production of FX Super One Pre-Production Vehicles
Faraday Future (FX) has officially launched the assembly of the FX Super One MPV pre-production vehicles at its Hanford, California factory, known as the "FF aiFactory California." This exciting milestone follows the arrival of nearly 3,000 components per vehicle needed for constructing the first batch of these innovative vehicles, aimed at testing and marketing activities in the U.S.
The production start is set against the backdrop of a significant operational strategy, as the company nears the completion of its Bridge Closure initiative. This strategy focuses on a closed-loop supply chain, enhancing logistics, customs clearance, and production efficiency.
YT Jia, Founder & Global Co-CEO of Faraday Future, emphasized the importance of this milestone, stating, "Building the first pre-production FX Super One’s at the Hanford plant is a crucial step towards achieving our goals, including the near completion of our Bridge strategy, which covers all aspects from supply chain to production." The pre-production phase will test every element of vehicle assembly, including parts logistics and personnel training.
The Hanford facility, which spans 1.1 million square feet, has seen an investment of approximately $300 million, with plans for further enhancements to support the production of over 30,000 FX vehicles annually. The flexible manufacturing capabilities at this site will allow for mixed-line assembly of varied models, including the flagship FF 91 2.0.
The FX Super One is designed as an affordable, mass-market MPV, prioritizing passenger comfort with a spacious interior, advanced technology features, multiple rows of seating, and premium entertainment systems. It will be available with all-wheel drive and two powertrain options: battery electric and a future AI hybrid extended range configuration.
As Faraday Future continues its mission to transform the automotive landscape through intelligent electric mobility, it invites stakeholders to stay updated with developments on its official website or through platforms like Inside Ticker.
