Izotropic Corporation (CSE: IZO) (OTCQB: IZOZF) (FSE: 1R3), a medical device company focused on innovative technologies and imaging products for breast cancer screening and treatment, has announced new developments regarding its African operations.
Following the announcement on February 18 about the formation of "Izotropic Africa" via a Letter Agreement, the Casablanca-based entity is now engaged in partnership discussions with the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science & Health (FM6SS). This foundation, operating under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, is dedicated to enhancing healthcare through research and innovation in Morocco.
Izotropic Africa aims to license, market, and distribute the proprietary IzoView Breast CT Imaging System across Africa and the Gulf Cooperation Council, which includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. According to the Letter Agreement, Izotropic will maintain a 40% fully diluted interest in Izotropic Africa, with plans to finalize a Formal Agreement by April 30, 2026.
The ongoing discussions with FM6SS focus on clinical research, regulatory advancement, and manufacturing opportunities for the IzoView system in Morocco. As part of this initiative, an IzoView device valued at USD $500K is set to be placed at a leading Moroccan hospital for clinical evaluation, aiding local regulatory approvals.
Additionally, the talks explore the potential for localized manufacturing and assembly in Morocco, leveraging the country's strategic geographic location that connects Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, facilitating access to various regional markets.
Morocco is actively enhancing its domestic medical device manufacturing capabilities, as seen in the recent national framework agreement signed during the second annual Medical Device Day. This agreement, involving multiple government and business entities, establishes national priorities for strengthening local production, enhancing supply-chain resilience, and fostering "Made in Morocco" initiatives.
With 15 operational ports, including Tangier Med—Africa's largest port—and over 150 specialized industrial zones, Morocco provides a conducive environment for companies like Izotropic to expand efficiently.
Izotropic Africa's strategic discussions with FM6SS align with Morocco's broader objectives in healthcare innovation, emphasizing the importance of advancing clinical research and localized manufacturing for the IzoView Breast CT Imaging System.
